Public consultation: Elia proposal for maximum capacity thresholds for type B, C and D power-generating modules
The implementation of the European Network Codes in Belgium is for some time the subject of discussion with involved stakeholders in the Elia Users’ Group.
An important theme is the categorisation of all power-generating modules (> 800 W) in 4 classes (so-called types A, B, C and D) and the determination of the thresholds between those types. According to the type, more or less stringent connection requirements are applicable as stated in the European Network Codes.
As a next step in the implementation process Elia organises a public consultation relating to its proposal for maximum capacity thresholds for type B, C and D power-generating modules, in accordance with article 5 of the Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/631 of 14 April 2016 establishing a network code on requirements for grid connection of generators (‘NC RfG’).
The consultation aims to receive any comments of market participants. The consultation period runs from 19th May till 20th June 2017, 18:00.
The consultation document and more information can be found on the Elia public consultation webpage.
