Removal of high-voltage line electrical cables

Starting on Monday 4 April, Elia will be removing the electricity cables from the high-voltage line between high-voltage stations ‘Baasrode’ and ‘Sint-Gillis-Dendermonde’. The high-voltage line has reached the end of its service life and has been taken out of service. During the work, a changed traffic situation will apply for Donaustraat and Denderbellestraat.

Changed traffic situation

From 4 to 8 April inclusive, Donaustraat and Denderbellestraat will be closed to all traffic. This is necessary to allow the work to proceed safely. Cyclists and pedestrians can follow the diversion via Voordenstraat, Moerstraat and Hauwestraatje. Motorists can follow the diversion via Voordenstraat, Moerstraat, Karel Hofmanstraat, Kruisstraat, Heirbaan and Van Langenhovestraat. The diversion is indicated. 

For safety reasons, you are not permitted to walk or park under the electrical cables when the electrical cables are being removed.
