Pylon head replacement work completed
Work to replace the pylon heads, which began in June 2025, has now been completed over the entire length of the connection.
The teams are currently restoring the land as per the agreements with the land operators. After this, an Elia team will paint the pylons to protect them from rust.
Finally, in 2026, bird diverters will be installed on the section of the connection that crosses the Meuse river (at Visé) to make it more visible to birds.
