Connecting to our grid

The installations linking a grid user's electrical facilities to the grid are known as connection facilities, or simply the connection. These connection facilities, and the rights and obligations of Elia and the grid user in relation to them, form the subject of a connection contract between the two parties. Metering

The Elia high-voltage grid is equipped with metering facilities, which Elia uses to record and check exchanges of energy on its grid every quarter-hour. This allows Elia to both manage the technical and economic aspects of energy transmission and offer standard and additional metering services.
