Auctions and sale of green certificates - Brussels region
As the local transmission system operator in Brussels, Elia organises auctions of green certificates. How does this work?
Elia's role
Article 28 §2 of the decree of 17 December 2015 of the Government of the Brussels-Capital Region relating to the promotion of electricity provides that at least once a year, the regional transmission network operator offers the market the green certificates in its possession, by organizing an auction, the procedure and practical terms of which are transparent.
