Public Holidays in 2016-2017

On specific holidays and during the summer months exchange capacity with neighbouring countries is sharply limited due to higher levels of loop flows.

We have learned from experience that holidays that are only celebrated in one part of Europe often have a negative impact on cross-border exchange capacity. In so far as possible, Elia will keep the market players informed of any increased risks.
