Five pylons dismantled using a helicopter

As part of the dismantling of the Ans-Bressoux overhead line, five pylons on this line were removed by helicopter on 8 December 2021.

Each pylon had been broken down into smaller parts beforehand to make them easier to take away without overloading the helicopter.

A precise, tried-and-tested method was used to ensure safety throughout this unusual procedure. The helicopter did not directly fly over any houses.

A leaflet was sent out to local residents informing them of the work.
