In addition to the work done by Elia to renovate and renew the Josaphat substation in Schaerbeek, urgent works must be undertaken as of Saturday, April 9, in order to guarantee the security of supply in the area.

Indeed, these works follow the incident of April 6 and this, in order to allow a perennial restoration of the electricity supply in the districts. You will find below the main information and the various measures to take:

  • Parking lot located in front of the substation building, Avenue Gustave Latinis 152: installation of a crane and the necessary cart for the work site;
  • Avenue Gustave Latinis: placement of a reservation zone (parking) to allow for the transportation of materials;
  • The parking area in front of the post office building will be inaccessible from April 12 for an estimated 15 days;
  • No parking signs will be placed on the affected areas to ensure that everything is done properly and in accordance with the law;
  • The entrances to the private parking lots of the apartments will remain accessible except, for security reasons, during some handling moments;
  • In order to solve the problem as soon as possible, work will also have to be done during the weekend;
  • The rest of the work will continue mainly in the construction zone (located outside the public space) which will limit the impact on mobility and living environment.
