Last phase of works completed

Over the past year and a half, Elia has been carrying out works for the laying of new underground cables (150kV) in Herentals, Olen and Geel. All works have now been completed.

End of works on the Herentals-Heze project

With the last repairs to the road surface, the Herentals-Heze project is coming to an end.
This expansion and restructuring of the electricity grid was necessary to meet the increasing energy demand in the area. This project will enable Elia to continue to ensure a reliable supply of electricity for businesses and citizens in the region in the future.
