Work to replace conductors between Zomergem and Ghent due for completion in late August
Zomergem and the Rodenhuize substation in Ghent. Conductors on the high-voltage connection – which are also sometimes referred to as three-phase transmission lines – are the cables on high-voltage pylons that transmit electricity. We are replacing the existing conductors with a new type that can transmit more electricity. We expect this work to be completed by the end of August.
Work to begin a few weeks later than scheduled
After that, we will replace the conductors on the high-voltage line between Ghent (Rodenhuize high-voltage substation) and Kruibeke (Mercator substation). This will happen a few weeks later than initially planned because the work between Zomergem and Ghent took longer than anticipated.
