Public consultations on Core CCR methodologies for cross-zonal capacity allocation for balancing

Two public consultations on Core CCR TSOs’ Methodologies for the allocation of cross-zonal capacity for the exchange of balancing capacity or sharing of reserves, namely (1) using a market-based analysis and (2) using an economic efficiency analysis.

Context

  1. Public consultation regarding the methodology used for on a market-based analysis : in accordance with Article 41 of the Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/2195 of 23 November 2017 establishing a guideline on electricity balancing (EBGL), Elia and the other TSO’s of CORE CCR organise a public consultation regarding the establishment of a methodology for the allocation process of cross zonal capacity for the exchange of balancing capacity or sharing of reserves using a market-based analysis.

  2. Public consultation regarding the methodology used for an economic efficiency analysis : in accordance with Article 42 of the Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/2195 of 23 November 2017 establishing a guideline on electricity balancing (EBGL), Elia and the other TSO’s of CORE CCR organise a public consultation regarding the establishment of a methodology for the allocation of cross-zonal capacity based on an economic efficiency analysis for the exchange of balancing capacity or sharing of reserves using an economic efficiency analysis.
