Following the incident that occurred in early April causing an involuntary interruption of electricity in the municipalities of Schaerbeek and Evere, the situation was restored by the teams deployed on site.

In addition to the work done by Elia to renovate and renew the Josaphat substation in Schaerbeek, urgent works must be undertaken as of Saturday, April 9, in order to guarantee the security of supply in the area.

In October work will begin to upgrade the facilities in the Josaphat substation in Schaerbeek.

From June 17 to September 1, 2019, Elia continues the renewal of the network in Brussels, at Avenue Charles Quint.

Work that began in June to overhaul grid infrastructure in Schaerbeek in the area between the rue du Noyer, place de Jamblinne de Meux, avenue Plasky and avenue du Diamant will continue in August as planned.

In connection with the work of the Site Coordination Committee, the various stakeholders, including Elia, were asked to speed up their work in the area affected by the Leopold II tunnel with a view to preventing work being carried out at the same time (which would have a major impact on traffic).
