Site info: closure of Route de Seraing and Route de Rotheux
According to the provisional schedule, our teams will work (execution of a directed drilling) between the Chêne Madame crossroads and the start of Route de Seraing, up to number 4 from 09 January 2023 until early February 2023.
Works will then continue on Route de Seraing and Route de Rotheux as from early February 2023. According to the provisional schedule, the works on this axis will end around mid-August 2023.
Mobility: a deviation for motorists and a path built for soft mobility
Our construction sites, mobility plans and paths built for soft mobility and pedestrians are always equipped with clear signs and in full compliance with the highway code.
During the works planned between 9 January 2023 and early February 2023:
- The first part of Route de Seraing will be reduced to one lane with traffic lights alternating one way and the other.
As from early February 2023:
- Route de Seraing / Route de Rotheux will be closed to car traffic. A mobility plan (see below) has been put in place with the local police, the municipal administration and the TEC in order to offer an alternative to motorists and buses. It has therefore been recommended for the deviation to proceed via Route du Condroz, the Plainevaux crossroads (“Carrefour de Plainevaux” on the map), Route de Hamoir and Avenue du Ban. Residents of Route de Seraing will continue to have access to their homes via Avenue de la Vecquée.
A path for soft mobility
In order to allow cyclists to continue to use this traffic axis in complete safety, we will create a dedicated path for soft mobility.
