Drogenbos-Buizingen: update on works

The last few weeks have seen preparatory work carried out at the Buizingen high-voltage substation with a view to replacing the last seven pylons between Beersel and Buizingen. That work has now been completed and, in the weeks ahead, our subcontractor (Engie) will install gantries at various locations to prevent the power lines from making physical contact with obstacles underneath.

Once the gantries have been installed, the power lines will be removed in late April. In early May, we will take down the existing pylons and then start foundation and building works for the new pylons. In late August, the new lines will be strung and then the new pylons painted.
