Launch of “Artisan bread” workshops at Cap Terre

In January 2021, we officially announced the projects selected to benefit from Elia’s community support fund in connection with Step 2 of the East Loop project. As the projects are completed, we will introduce them to you.

On Saturday 22 October 2022, we had the pleasure of donning our baker's hat during the launch of the “Artisan Bread” workshops by the non-profit association Cap Terre. These workshops have been made possible by the installation of a wood oven financed by Elia’s Community support fund. This fund is managed and the selected projects coordinated via the external partner BePlanet.

Elia had already contributed to the financing of a wind turbine to make the association self-sufficient in energy, a cold room to store their produce and a wood oven. All this as part of the East Loop project

Watch the local TV channel’s report on the workshop at the following link: Learn or relearn how to make your own bread! - Vedia, local TV for the Verviers region

If you would like to take part in this workshop (on your own or with your family), Cap Terre will be delighted to organise it. You can contact them via info@capterre.be or on 080/51 73 11

Note that children will need to be a little patient while the dough is resting and during the baking of the bread. The outdoor space in front of the workshop is a good option for keeping them entertained in the open air.
