Report on the information session about the work on Maldersesteenweg

An information session about the start of work on Maldersesteenweg in Londerzeel was held at the Gerard Walschap community centre on Tuesday 26 February. People living near the worksite and other interested parties were invited to drop by any time between 7.00 p.m. and 8.30 p.m. for more information about the diversion that would be set up and the method used to lay the cable. With over 70 attendees, the session was a resounding success.

Work on Maldersesteenweg until the construction sector’s summer break in July

Work is due to begin at the Malderen high-voltage substation on 18 March. The worksite will then gradually move along Maldersesteenweg and Koeisteert towards Sint-Jozef. The first stage of the work will end at the junction with Stuikberg and will run until the construction sector’s summer break in July. Once this break is past, work in the Londerzeel area will continue until October.

Elia will hold an information session in due course to inform local residents about the next stages of the project (work along Zavelstraat and Hogedreef towards Willebroek), which are due to launch after the summer break.
