Strategic Reserve: input data for determining the volume for winter 2020-2021
Context
In the framework of the volume determination for the strategic reserve, Elia organized a public consultation in April-May 2019 on the methodology and the different assumptions and data sources that will be used to determine the volume for the winter 2020-2021. As indicated at that time, an additional consultation on the raw input data used for the calculation is launched now.
Period
This consultation aims to receive any comments from market participants and relevant stakeholders on the input data to be used and the consultation period is set from Wednesday 28 August to Wednesday 25 September 2019, 6:00pm.
Consultation
Elia aimed to receive comments from market participants and relevant stakeholders on the input data to be used. The consulted documents consisted of an excel file with assumptions for Belgium, as well as a PDF file containing some slides for clarification.
In total, Elia received feedback from 4 stakeholders:
- CREG (in Dutch)
- EM Generation Brussels
- FEBEG
- FEBELIEC
In addition to the feedback received, Elia now publishes an answer report in order to give replies to all market parties' reactions, as well as an updated excel file with the assumptions as are used in the volume assessment. This will also be presented in the next Task Force "Implementation Strategic Reserves"
