How Calibration Works

The calibration process follows a structured legal and regulatory procedure. Elia is responsible for preparing and publishing detailed calibration reports. These reports are developed in line with the methodology set by the Royal Decree on the organisation of the CRM. Input and validation are provided by various stakeholders, including market parties, FPS Economy, CREG, the Minister of Energy, and Elia itself. At the end of the process, the Minister of Energy fixes the auction parameters in a Ministerial Decree.
