Change to schedule for asphalt repair work in Spendijk and Grensstraat

Elia is starting asphalt repair work in Spendijk and Grensstraat on those parts of the road surface that were already surfaced in asphalt before the works. This will be done in locations where electricity cables have been laid in a trench. On Friday, 26 November 2021, work began to re-lay the foundation and bottom layer of asphalt over the trench. Traffic can resume as normal once this work is finished.

Afterwards, Elia plans to give the entire width of the road surface a new layer of asphalt. Due to the wet weather, it has had to postpone asphalting work in Spendijk and Grensstraat until March 2022. The concrete work is proceeding as planned. Local residents will be sent a letter next year as soon as the schedule for the asphalting work is known.
