Drone survey

Between 15 and 17 June, Elia conducted a drone survey along the Massenhoven – Poederlee high-voltage line to map out the current condition of the properties under it since the high-voltage line will soon be dismantled.  

Preparation for the dismantling of the high-voltage line 

In early August 2022, Elia will start dismantling the high-voltage line (150 kV) between Massenhoven and Poederlee. An Elia contractor will take down the wires and dismantle all the high-voltage pylons. Site surveys were conducted using a drone near the town centre of Lille (in the province of Antwerp) to map out the current condition of the properties under the high-voltage line. The local residents and land owners concerned were informed by letter.
