Planning permit obtained and end of the appeal period

Following the submission of its application for a planning permit to the relevant authorities on 3 July 2020, transmission system operator Elia has now obtained the permit. 

With the appeal period expired, Elia is creating a schedule for the project. The installation of the 150-kV underground line between Auvelais and Gembloux substations will ensure grid reliability and incorporate renewable energies. This is an important stage in this project, as it marks the completion of the administrative procedure and makes it possible to move on to the construction phase shortly.
