On Sunday, 28 June 2020 Elia is carrying out work in the vicinity of the Stabroek interchange (No 13) on the A12 and Laageind (N111). As part of the Brabo Project, new electric wires will be installed on high-voltage pylons. A helicopter will be used during the operation. To ensure everything proceeds safely, Laageind will be closed in both directions from the A12 to the junction with Abtsdreef. Through traffic will be diverted. Homes and businesses along Laageind will remain accessible via Torense Weg.
Using a helicopter with high-voltage pylons
As part of the Brabo Project, Elia is upgrading the 150kV high-voltage line between Zandvliet and Lillo along the A12 to 380kV. On Sunday, 28 June 2020, Elia is planning activities in the vicinity of the Stabroek interchange (No 13) along the A12. Using a helicopter, a nylon draw rope will be pulled across the pylons. Elia will then use these draw ropes to pull new electric wires through the previously installed high-voltage pylons.
Laageind (N111) closed in both directions
To ensure the work can be carried out safely, on Sunday, 28 June 2020 Laageind (N111) between the A12 and the road crossing with Abtsdreef will be closed in both directions. Through traffic will be diverted in both directions via the Berendrecht interchange (No 12) on the A12 and Bosstraat, Monnikenhofstraat and Abtsdreef. Homes and businesses along Laageind (N111) and on Picoloplein will remain accessible. Local traffic will be diverted locally via Havenweg (Berendrecht exit) and Torense Weg. On Sunday, the part of Laageind (N111) between the A12 and Torense Weg will temporarily have two-way traffic.
