Progress on the reinstatement of the Route du Condroz

The construction of the first two sections (between the Rimière substation and the Route de Seraing) has been completed and the reinstatement of the Route du Condroz is now underway.

Specifically, according to the provisional schedule and following the coordination works carried out with the local and regional authorities: from Friday 12 May to Tuesday 16 May, the traffic to Liège will alternate between the right-hand lane and the central reservation, firstly for the milling works and then for the asphalting works. In this way, the traffic to Liège will always be maintained, on the central reservation or the right-hand lane.

However, please note that on 15 May, at certain times during the asphalting works, access to homes and shops may be limited. As this is a provisional schedule, in the event of bad weather on Monday 15 May, the works will be postponed to Tuesday 16 May with the same limitations.

The painting of the road markings will then be carried out in the week of 22 May, with the traffic to Liège being maintained on one lane. Finally, the removal of the signalling is scheduled for 25 May with a return to normal traffic, with the exception however of a worksite zone maintained in the direction of Liège just before the provisional roundabout.

In parallel with this road reinstatement phase, the cable installation worksite is now continuing as planned towards the Route de Seraing / Route de Rotheux.

Of course, Elia is doing everything it can to minimise the impact of the construction site while complying with regional requirements for road reinstatement. If you have any questions or remarks, you can contact our teams on 0800 18 002 or by email at riverains@elia.be
