Reminder – Comply with construction site signs

We are aware of the duration of the construction site and its potential impact, and we would like to remind you that strict compliance with safety instructions and the Highway Code is essential to avoid endangering yourself or others.

It is strictly forbidden to walk, cycle or drive on the construction site, and there are major hazards associated with doing so. A cycle lane along the Route de Seraing / Rotheux has been available since work began, but this lane may only be used by cyclists.

Strict compliance with instructions is essential

Work is currently progressing on the Route de Seraing / Rotheux. Since mid-February, this axis has been closed to motorised traffic. However, to ensure that cyclists can continue to use this traffic axis in complete safety, a dedicated path for soft mobility has been created

As soon as the works began, a mobility plan was put in place with the local police, the municipal administration and the TEC to offer alternatives to motorists and buses. Two diversions are recommended for motorists:

  • via Route du Condroz, the Plainevaux junction, Route d'Hamoir and Avenue du Ban
  • via Avenue Chêne Madame or Avenue de la Chevauchée, join Rue de l'Ermitage, and then join the N677 / Route de France towards Seraing

Residents of the Route de Seraing will be able to access their homes via Avenue de la Vecquée.
