Helicopter used to undertake wire pulling between new pylons

On Tuesday 12 July 2022, we undertook wire pulling between new pylons that had been constructed near La Gleize in Stoumont. These wires will allow electrical conductors to be installed between the new pylons.

Given the nature of the terrain (which is wooded and hilly), the work was exceptionally carried out with the use of a helicopter. This approach reduced the impact that the work had on the surrounding environment, since many trees would have had to be felled if staff had carried out the work from ground level.

The same type of approach will be used along other sections of the route after the summer. The pylons along those sections are currently being constructed.
