United National Global Compact (UNGC)
50Hertz is already signatory of the United National Global Compact (UNGC) – the leading U.N. organisation for businesses to advance on the Sustainable Development Goals for 2030. Elia is also committed and actively working on topics included in the 10 Principles of the UNGC. Elias is currently exploring how to approach a joint membership of the two entities or the Elia Group, which is under development in 2019.
In the meantime, Elia is a member of the national Belgian business organisation on corporate social responsibility, while 50Hertz is a member and supporter of the Campaign Fair Company.
The Shift
On the Belgian level Elia is a member of The Shift where some 350 companies, NGOs and other organisations meet to co-create sustainable business models. Elia is also a member of several professional federations and local associations.
