Task Force Grid Flex
This Task Force informs market players on all relevant aspects related to flexible connection agreement (also referred to as non-firm connection agreement). While pre-existing partially already in Belgium, flexible connection agreement have been made a standard approach that must be made available at all levels by the Article 6a of the Directive (EU) 2024/1711 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 June 2024 amending Directives (EU) 2018/2001 and (EU) 2019/944 as regards improving the Union’s electricity market design.
What does the Task Force Grid Flex do?
The purpose of this Task Force is to inform and consult market players on all relevant aspects related to flexible connection agreements, particularly with regard to:
- The development and implementation of the “industrialized” Real-Time product(s) on federal and regional levels
- The development and implementation of other flexible connection products on federal and regional levels
- The development and implementation of the target model, including the development of a TOTEX approach for the development of the grid, comparing CAPEX investment costs with OPEX costs of remedial actions
- The management of any intermediary solutions needed in transition
Agendas will, among others, include the discussion of content and technical aspects.
Organisation
The Task Force meets approximately six times a year. Administrative duties for this Task Force are handled by:
