News Hastiere-Pondrome

After a preparatory phase in 2022 and 2023, during which the access roads to the pylons were created, the project is now entering the actual work phase.

In connection with the support measures for the Hastière-Pondrôme infrastructure project, the Be Planet Foundation, in partnership with the municipalities of Beauraing, Hastière and Houyet and with the support of Elia, launched a call for citizen initiatives. This call for projects closed last October. Elia and Be Planet are now inviting citizens to select their favourite project, which will be eligible for financial support.

In consultation with the local authorities, we invite you to an information meeting at the salle communale L'Aurore, Rue d'Hastière, 5560 Mesnil-Saint-Blaise, on Tuesday, 19 September, at 6:00pm.

To support citizens' initiatives in Beauraing, Hastière and Houyet, the Be Planet Foundation is launching a call for projects in these municipalities, in partnership with them and with the support of Elia, the electricity transmission system operator. 

During the weeks of 14 and 21 August, the last access and turning areas near certain pylons in the Houyet area will have to be repaired.

Now that all the permits necessary to renew the high-voltage line between Hastière and Pondrôme have been obtained, the works can begin. 

Local residents who would like to get more information about the Hastière-Pondrôme project can meet the project team during one of the three information sessions.
