Elia informs local residents at various locations along high-voltage line

From 12 November to 17 December inclusive, Elia held 10 information sessions to present the Massenhoven-Van Eyck project to local residents. The line stretches over 92 km and runs through 15 municipalities, from the Massenhoven high-voltage substation in Zandhoven to the Van Eyck high-voltage substation in Kinrooi.

When organising the information sessions, Elia worked together with all the municipalities involved to identify 10 readily accessible locations that were as close to the HV line as possible. Members of the public could go and visit their local information session at any time between 6 and 8 p.m. to find out more about the project at their own pace by consulting 8 information panels and an interactive My Maps map of the line's route.

Elia staff were also on hand to provide additional explanations and answer visitors' questions. If you missed the information sessions, you can see the information panels (in Dutch) and brochure here (in Dutch).
