Public consultation on the data used for the study regarding the adequacy and flexibility needs of the Belgian power system

Topic

Elia launched a public consultation on the input data and sources that will be used for the study regarding the adequacy and flexibility needs of the Belgian power system, which has to be carried out every 2 years.

Context

This consultation aimed to receive any comment from market participants on these data and gave the possibility to suggest sensitivities on the base case scenario.

In total, Elia received feedback from 7 stakeholders (of which 2 confidential) :

  • CREG;
  • FEBEG;
  • FEBELIEC;
  • COGEN Vlaanderen;
  • ACER (D. Woitrin).

Elia publishes today a summary of the received feedback in order to inform market parties on all received reactions and to give its replies to these reactions.

The consultation period was set from Monday 21th of January 2019 until Monday 11th of February 2019, 6:00pm.
